I travel to witness and celebrate the beauty of individuality.
I travel to learn to solve problems. Not champagne problems. Survival problems.
I travel to treat my buds to foreign flavors.
I travel to be inspired by new sights and sensations.
I travel to hear the melody of another tongue.
I travel to embrace freedom.
I travel to connect with the gusting winds, the rushing ocean, and the soft ground.
I travel to become acquainted with the person I am beyond a title, beyond family, beyond culture.
I travel to find opportunity in struggle.
I travel to release myself from stories that I know no longer serve me.
I travel to let go because sometimes the world loves to show you how little control you actually have.
I travel to challenge my fears.
I travel to fall in love readily and constantly with everything that surrounds me.
I travel to continuously redefine my comfort zone.
I travel to remember what truly matters.
I travel to be flooded with the kind of bliss I find only when I explore.
I travel to feel alive.
Why do you?
to be in nature, the only place that absorbs my thoughts completely.
Thank you for sharing. That is a big one for me too. It’s so much easier to be present and feel the amazing mind body earth connection when you’re in nature.
To be a kid again. Pure childlike joy exploring a new place. I’m free.
And because with every new place I conquer solo, I have one less excuse to be afraid of the next more challenging place. My courage grows – and with it, my dreams for what’s next.
I love your response Liz. When we recognize that what we thought impossible IS possible we can approach every new situation with that same trust.
These are some of the exact reasons I love to travel. I become more expansive, empowered, more loving when I have to navigate the world. Great post lady. Love it. I hope that one day people will understand that their concerns and fears about the futures of others are just their own fears and concerns and not actually supportive to the people they love.
So glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Traveling allows me to slow down long enough to reflect on what is important in life. I want to see and embrace every nook and cranny of this planet! I love exploring new places and diverse cultures… That is what life is all about:)
